Dr Harveen

Harveen is a Paediatric Gastroenterologist and works in all areas of gastroenterology and liver disease in infants, children and adolescents. She graduated from James Cook University and underwent specialist paediatric training in Queensland. Following this, she completed sub-specialist training in gastroenterology at Queensland Children’s Hospital, Sydney Children’s Hospital and Monash Children’s Hospital. After being awarded fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians she undertook senior clinical fellowship with a focus on liver, intestinal transplantation and nutrition and worked as a consultant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital in the United Kingdom. On her return to Australia, she has worked as a consultant gastroenterologist at Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne.

Harveen has published widely in the field of clinical gastroenterology and hepatology, in national and international journals and has presented her findings and received awards at both national and international conferences. She is interested in education and is a member of the RACP Gastroenterology Curriculum Advisory Group.

Harveen is accredited to perform paediatric gastroscopy and colonoscopy by the Conjoint Committee for Recognition of Training in Gastroenterological Endoscopy (CCRTGE). She finds working with families to establishing a diagnosis, management and treatment plan rewarding. Harveen enjoys spending time with her young family and is available for telehealth.
